2013 Year in Review {Syracuse boudoir photographer}

Goodbye 2013 – you were such a good year filled with some amazing clients.  Take a glimpse into just a small sample of boudoir photos I took in this compilation slide show below.  Nearly all of my sessions were boudoir this year, showing that it really is becoming a more widely accepted genre in the Syracuse area.  I did have a handful of high school seniors and business head shot sessions as well this year, but decided not to include those in this year end review.  I’d like to give a special shout out to Michelle Maw of Makeup by Maw and to Ashley Toia of Ashley Toia Cosmetology for pampering my clients with gorgeous hair and makeup.  Their talents go a long way toward achieving a successful intimate boudoir photo session.

Fayetteville-Manlius High School Senior Portraits {central NY photographer}

Meet Dylan, a 2014 senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.  Dylan loves dirt bike racing, basketball and rock music.  He chose to do a combined studio/outdoor session this past Fall where we did the traditional studio yearbook photo as well as some more casual shots.   Best wishes to you as finish up your senior year, Dylan!!

Too late for a sexy Christmas? Not yet! {Boudoir Portraits, Cicero NY}

I’ve received several messages this week asking if it is too late to get in for a session before Christmas.  The short answer is “No, not yet”.   I still have some dates available to shoot before Christmas.  The catch is whether or not your products will be ready in time for gift giving.  Many products do take upwards of 4-6 weeks to be hand-created and delivered.  However, I offer a few digital options that can still be given as a gift while you’re waiting to receive the actual printed products.  One of these is a session slide show set to sexy music like this:

Another digital option is a mobile gallery of the images you selected for printing.   Take a look at Sara’s mobile gallery:  http://www.photosbykimhill.com/app/SaraOsborne/  Both digital options are great because you can view them on a variety of platforms:  smart phone, tablet, desktop (PC or Mac).  And these are great for the guy who’s on the go, or for couples who live apart, because he can view the link wherever he happens to be.

Miss O’s Boudoir Session {Cicero NY intimate portraits photographer}

Miss O. came by the studio last week for a boudoir portrait session.  I’d been wanting to photograph a natural redhead for quite some time and was so excited when I saw her beautiful hair.  Of course, my makeup artist, Michelle Maw, was also here to give Miss O. a beautifully radiant look.  Syracuse NY boudoir

CNS Senior Portrait Session {Cicero, NY Senior Photographer}

Meet Luke, a 2014 senior at CNS.  Luke loves hard rock music, enjoys basketball, likes to go to the shooting range and plays on the Varsity football team.  We split his senior portrait session into two so that we could do both a traditional yearbook photo and a few shots by the barn, and then the other half of his session was spent doing a sunset session with his car.   Best wishes to you as finish up your senior year, Luke!!  Oh and I’ll be stopping out to catch one of your home games this fall.

Ms. C’s Bridal Boudoir Portrait Session {Seductively You, Syracuse NY}

Seductively You Awarded Pro Elite Badge {Syracuse boudoir portraits}

Such a beautiful thing when you open up your email with exciting news.  I just found out that I have been awarded the Pro Elite badge from the Association of International Boudoir Photographers.  This is the highest designation awarded to its members and shows that my images demonstrate emotion, have pleasing composition, technically pleasing lighting and consistent branding.  What an honor to be among some of the world’s most elite boudoir photographers!

Sexy Miss S. {Cicero boudoir portraits}

Miss S. came to me to have intimate portraits taken so that she could surprise her fiancee on their wedding day.  She was nervous at first, as I think most women are, but she totally rocked her boudoir portrait session!  We did some beautiful elegant images and then proceeded to get a little racier as the session progressed.  We giggled the whole time while pretending to be in the throws of passion, but still holding a static pose.  It’s not an easy thing to do – trust me!  Ha ha ha

Today she sent me a very thoughtful testimonial too!  “I cannot say enough about this experience. I felt comfortable from the very first conversation with Kim as she has a wonderfully engaging personality. I had a ton of fun and I felt more beautiful than I ever have in my life! Kim went above and beyond to ensure a beautiful outcome. She was able to ease my insecurities and make me comfortable. I never expected to feel the way I did after the photo shoot. Now Booking 2014 High School Seniors {Cicero North Syracuse, NY Photographer}

Seniors, now is the time to get on the calendar for your senior portrait session.  Yearbook deadline will be here before you know it!  I have 5 evening session slots left for July, 5 daytime session slots available in August, and 8 evening session slots in August.  Please don’t wait til the end of September to have your senior portraits taken.  The yearbook deadline for seniors in Cicero-North Syracuse schools is October 1st.
