Bridal Boudoir Portraits {Cicero NY Photographer}

Last month, I had the pleasure of meeting Miss R. who will be getting married later this year.  She came to me requesting a session to give as  a wedding gift to her fiance.  Little did she know that her secret would be shortly unveiled as he was quick to figure out what she was up to.  LOL   Despite that, we had a great time that day.  The hair and makeup team arrived and pampered her for about an hour.  Then we got down to business and shot a LOT of different outfits as she had considered purchasing a calendar.  Doesn’t she have the most beautiful eyes?!

It was a lot of fun rocking out to some tunes on the iPod, changing out sets and getting the glam on.  In the end, she selected 40 images which were then printed up as a 36 page designer book, a 12 month calendar, a peep show, and a session slide show set to music.  I’m sure she will have one very happy guy once he sees all the beautiful images we captured.

Boudoir Custom Image Box {Cicero NY intimate portraits}

If you have a small home with limited wall space, this custom image box may be just the right product for you. This one shown here is about 10×13 inches and holds 25 mounted 8×12 prints. The box itself is customized, so we can put any photo on the front and back that you’d like. The spine can also be customized to include any text you want. There is also a smaller image box option which is 5×7 inches and holds only 18 mounted prints.

As you can see, this sample has a patterned paper on the front that wraps around the back. There is custom text on the spine and one eye-catching image on the front. You have some options with how the images inside are to be printed, too. There are various textures to choose from, you could have a border around the edge (as shown in the above sample), you could go without a border if you prefer, and you can also choose to mix black & white images with color images. As I said, these are truly custom! The image box also comes with an easel so that you can display whichever image you would like. Get tired of looking at that image? Simply put it back in the box and pull out a different image to display. These are great displaying on a nightstand in your master bedroom.

Boudoir Designer Book {Syracuse NY boudoir photographer}

Today I wanted to share the boudoir version of my designer book series.  This is a beautiful option that is different from the traditional little black book.  What makes these different from a traditional little black book is that (a) they are bound in a book-style format, (b) are flush-mounted through the center with no visible gutter, (c) they are custom designed with artwork, (d) they can be personalized with quotes or other text of your choosing. The most popular size is 8×8 inches, but I also offer larger sizes up to 12×12, and the number of pages varies with a minimum of 16 pages.

As you can see in this video, the pages spread across the center seam allowing for full page spreads. The cover is completely wrapped around from front to back and can be just one image or a fully designed custom cover. We will work together to decide how you would like your designer book to look in its finished form.

Since these are custom designed for each client, no two are ever the same. However, if you really like the sample book I’ve shown here, I would be happy to use that as a basis for creating your own designer book with the addition of some personalization to make it truly unique.

Naughty School Girl {themed boudoir portraits Syracuse NY}

Once in a while, I’ll get special requests for themed boudoir portrait sessions.  This naughty school girl theme is one of the more popular requests.  Feel free to bring your own costume, or you are welcome to try on the one I’ve got here at the studio.  The look is complete when paired with this vintage desk, some books, chalkboard and an apple.  Super cute and lots of fun!

Business Executive Portraits {Syracuse NY Photographer}

Executive portraits are an important means of conveying an air of professionalism in the workplace and establishing familiarity with clientele. Whether the images are used as wall portraits in your reception area, or included on your business cards, clients will appreciate having that personal connection with you.

The business executive head shot session only takes about 30 minutes.  You’ll enjoy about 10-15 minutes of camera time, a minimum of 5 proofs to view immediately after the session, and 1 fully retouched high resolution digital image with a print release/license so that you may use the image for personal or business usage up to 8×12 inches.  Additional images may be purchased for print or digital usage.

Another option is to have me bring the studio to your company.  I will set up the studio in a conference room and will spend the day photographing your entire staff.  This is a terrific way to create a cohesive look for your company website or business brochures.  It’s also a great way to keep the office production moving as each employee will only need to spend about 10 minutes with me and then can quickly return back to work.  The fee is sliding scale based on the number of employees to be photographed (more people means a lower per person price).

Gallery Opening June 1st to Support Autoimmune Arthritis {Photographer Kim Hill, Syracuse NY}

I’m thrilled to be supporting The International Autoimmune Arthritis Movement Artists Collaborative Exchange (IAAC ACE). My gallery donation is a 16×24 portrait canvas titled “Pearls of Strength & Hope”.

I was immediately drawn to IAAC’s cause as I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis which is a debilitating disease affecting not only the joints, but it can also affect the skin, eyes, lungs, heart, blood, or nerves.  Artists from around the world are donating their beautiful creations to the IAAM ACE gallery which will then offer the pieces up for sale on May 19th. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the International Autoimmune Arthritis Movement (IAAM), an award-winning 501c3 non-profit, created to raise awareness and provide wellness education to those affected by Autoimmune Arthritis diseases. IAAM is the only non-profit that exclusively advocates for only this strand of diseases.

Are you a painter, sculptor, photographer, quilter, or other fine artist? Do you have or know someone with autoimmune arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrom, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, and many more)? A Mechanic’s Dream Girl {Boudoir Photos, Syracuse NY}

Sometimes clients have a specific theme in mind for their intimate photo shoot.  This particular gal’s boyfriend is a mechanic so she decided she wanted to incorporate that theme into her session.  She brought along some tools and a car jack, and I went on the hunt for some tires.  Got pretty lucky in that one of the local garages had a huge pile of them behind their building and the owner was more than happy to let me take some.  YAY!  Here are a few of the images we captured:

Miss K’s Boudoir Photo Session {Cicero NY boudoir photographer}

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Miss K.  She was referred to me by another client for an intimate boudoir portrait session.  I was so excited to finally get a chance to use this beautiful headboard (can you believe it’s actually a backdrop!) and she brought a bustier that complemented the decor very nicely.

I really love this image of her back with the sheet draped around her tush.  There is something very innocent, yet provocative, about it.

After changing into an all white bustier and stockings, we stood in front of the French doors to get a little back lighting which sculpts her tush quite nicely.

Miss S. – Beauty Portrait Session

Last week I had the pleasure of working with Miss S. to create some pretty and feminine beauty portraits.  This type of photo session is ideal for women who are wanting more than a typical headshot, but don’t want to go so far as an intimate boudoir session.  This is contemporary glamour with a bit of a fashion edge!  In a typical beauty session, we will spend about 45 minutes with our all female staff who will primp and pamper you with flawless makeup and hair styling followed by about 45 minutes of shooting.  It would make a terrific sweet 16 gift, a fabulous fun afternoon for a bridal shower, or even just a gift to yourself.  However, you don’t need a special occasion to justify splurging on a beauty session and it is well-suited for any woman, regardless of age.

A boudoir portrait session can be a self-empowering time for women. Most women come to the studio to have intimate portraits taken of themselves to then gift to their husbands and boyfriends. But everyone leaves here feeling like they just gave themselves a gift – the gift of loving yourself for who you are at this moment. Every session includes a pre-session consultation, a 2 hour private session, posing assistance during the shoot, 2 or more outfit changes, light refreshments, an in-person review of your images, and professional retouching for all selected photos. Hair and makeup is a pampering option that you can add to your session and is highly recommended.  This is likely a once in a lifetime experience so indulge yourself – you’re worth it!

All intimate portraits sessions are available weekdays by appointment only with an all female staff waiting to make you look and feel your very best.
