This week I had the pleasure of working with Ashley, a local model from my town. Started out the session at this little spot that I’ve been wanting to shoot at for a while now…it’s a service road that leads to a cell tower. I love the gate and the overgrown path here. And her all American girl look really works well with this natural environment.
Then we hopped in the car and drove over to the abandoned air strip. We took a few shots along the side of the old airplane hanger…
and then we braved the debris and ventured inside. Ashley was such a good sport about standing and sitting on the nasty dirty pile of old tires, rusted parts and old cushions. I call this one her FIERCE look. 😀
We wrapped up the evening on the landing strip at sunset. Just gorgeous!

I’ve been a photographer for more than 25 years now. I started as a young child with my parents' 110 film camera, moved on to study photography in college, interned with a wedding photographer for a couple of years and then struck out on my own. I've been doing general portraits since 1998 and boudoir work since 2009. In addition to boudoir, I also offer high school senior portraits, fashion inspired sessions, and business executive head shots.
